Truck Name: Off the Rez
Mark McConnell grew up eating his mom’s cooking at family gatherings and powwows on the Blackfeet Rez in Browning, Montana. After moving to Seattle, McConnell and his partner, Cecilia Rikard, decided to follow their passion and open Seattle’s first Native food truck, serving delicious traditional Blackfeet fry bread, tacos, and other creations inspired by Mark’s family recipes.
Truck Name: The Little Chicken Burger
The owners of The Little Chicken Burger, Rotilio “Rudy” Zamora Nieves and Martha Zomara Martinez, can often be found working the restaurant with a welcoming smile. Loyal customers say Rudy makes the best burgers and chicken sandwiches in Burien. Come in and try one of the sandwiches on the menu or customize your own, because despite the name, The Little Chicken Burger packs big taste.
Pop-up Name: Macadons
Founded in 2015 by Michael Huynh and Donna Chan, Macadons has served the Renton community since 2022 after its move from its original location in White Center. The beloved rainbow selection of macarons, from traditional flavors vanilla and chocolate to the Asian flavors that originally put Macadons on the map like Thai tea and ube remain menu staples.
Restaurant Name: Taste of the Caribbean
Owners Carlene Comrie and Dwayne Blake partnered together in 2013 to open Taste of the Caribbean because they wanted to open a restaurant that celebrated their Jamaican heritage. Their restaurant gives the Central District an authentic taste of Jamaica and its vibrant culture with a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere, lively music and soul-comforting food.
